Venturers - A Programme of Achievement

Venturers are 15 to 17 year old scouts that meet as a separate group known as a unit. They are responsible for their own programmes which ideally would include a range of adventurous, vocational, social, and spiritual activities that extend the Venturers to develop their self-confidence, leadership and team skills.

The adults leaders role is an advisory one ensuring activities are balanced, well planned and safe.

A progressive award scheme enables Venturer Scouts to extend their range of skills and earn certificates that lead towards achieving the Queens Scout award and/or the Duke of Edinburgh awards.
