Scouts - A Programme of Exploration

Scouts are aged 10 to 14 years and meet as a group known as a troop. The troop is divided into patrols with each patrol having a youth leader (PL) and an assistant (APL).

Patrols are encouraged to plan and organise their own activities such as tramps, camps, bike tours and river trips in order to develop teamwork and self-reliance.

Adult leaders are responsible for running an exciting and challenging programme based on the Scout method of working in small groups and using the outdoors. The idea is to encourage and foster opportunities for the Scouts to experience leadership and teamwork.

Scenes from Campcraft 2006
Will we get wet?
We shouldn't get blown away.
How many need to fit in here?
At least we will be warm & fed.
